Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimenez (born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actress as well as film producer. Her career began in Mexico in the telenovela Teresa, where she was a lead in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which earned her an Ariel Award nomination. She quickly made herself known in Hollywood by appearing in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal of Frida Kahlo who is a painter, in Frida (2002) which is a biographical feature she created which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. The actress also won her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek played the lead in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico pictures in subsequent years and shifted her focus to producing.
