Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer most well known for her roles in Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum Rasoolum Malayalam film is her Malayalam debut as an actor. Andrea Jeremiah was born in Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father is a lawyer at the Madras High Court. Her sister, who is younger, is an assistant researcher from Belgium who is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah was brought up in Chennai. He went to National Public School. After graduation, he studied at Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to learn the piano classically in her 8th year. Young Stars is a Jackson Five style group that she became a member of in the age of 10 that was the basis of her music and singing career. Also, she was a theatre performer in the college she attended and performed in a variety of stage plays organised through The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea served as president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her acting career with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. She acted in new leo coffee commercial with actor Shiva in 2006. She also acted on the Podhigai Channel on a TV serial. She has performed throughout India. She played a brief character in the finale of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). When she sang a tune for Gautham Vasudev Menon's film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiya the director asked her to join as the main female characters in his upcoming film Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea played Kalyani the housewife whose husband is in the middle of an affair with someone else. Andrea was part of the cast following Simran, Tabu, and Tabu had been approached. The film came out in early 2010 It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to play a minor support role. Annayum Rasoolum directed by Rajeeev Ravi, the romantic comedy film that she premiered in Malayalam in, was released on August 11, 2013.
